Thomas Schatz joined Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) and its lobbying affiliate, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW), as director of government affairs in 1986 and he has been president of both organizations since 1992. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nonpartisan educational organization, CAGW works to eliminate waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement in government and has more than one million members and supporters nationwide. Mr. Schatz is a nationally-recognized spokesperson on government waste. He has been interviewed on hundreds of radio talk shows and his editorials on fiscal policy have appeared in publications nationwide. He has testified numerous times on government waste issues before committees of the United States Senate and House of Representatives, as well as before state and local legislative and regulatory bodies.

Wes was first elected to the Coppell City Council in June of 2012. He was re-elected to a three year terms in 2014, 2017, and 2020. Wes has participated in the Texas Municipal League training for public officials, has attended the Texas Municipal League annual conferences, and is a graduate of Leadership North Texas through the North Texas Commission. He currently serves as the city liaison to the Metrocrest Social Services and the North Central Texas Council of Governments. Prior to his election he had participated in Coppell's Citizen Summit in 2011 and has served as the president of the Arbor Manors Homeowners Association and the Westbury Manor Homeowner Association. He has been a member of the Coppell Band Boosters. For over 25 years, Wes has served the youth of his communities through the Boy Scouts of America. Wes is the Chairman of the Industrial Advisory Board of the College of Electrical Engineering at the University of North Texas. He has advised for the solar car engineering team at Coppell High School and has served on the Coppell High School Engineering School advisory committee. He has also participated in the career expo at Coppell High School representing Peterbilt Motors Company. Wes is an Eagle Scout holding the Silver Beaver and District Award of Merit from the Boy Scouts of America. He is an Extra Class licensee, N5HK, in the Amateur Radio Service. He is an amateur musician playing in the wind ensemble at the First United Methodist Church and the Coppell Community Orchestra. He is also a member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants. Professionally, he received a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University. He holds 24 patents from the US Patent office encompassing a broad variety of technical expertise including RFID, radio frequency design, transportation, and communication design. He is a registered professional engineer in Texas. Wes and his wife of 36 years, Linda, have lived in Coppell since 2000. They have two children: Chris a systems engineer in Irving and Allison, a commercial real estate appraiser in Richardson. After graduating from Cornell University, he joined the Navy as a ship driver onboard the USS Trippe (FF-1075) and then worked at the Pentagon and on Capital Hill, responsible for the Navy's Operations and Maintenance Budget. After getting his MBA from Yale's School of Management, he joined a strategy consulting firm, advising major firms on contracts. Since moving to Texas in 1994, Davin has worked in a variety of roles in technology, mostly in marketing and product development. He left MetroPCS to start his own company, Cierge, LLC, which focuses on revolutionizing customer service in the hospitality industry. His career is built on understanding customer needs and delivering better than expected results. He currently works for USAA, an insurance company that serves the people of the armed services, veterans, and their families. After graduating from Leadership Coppell, Davin served on the Economic Development Committee, and has been a part of Citizen Summits like Coppell 2017 and the Coppell Next/2040 visioning summits. He is well-known to city officials and board members as someone who asks probing questions to deepen citizen understanding of “the story behind the story” and an advocate for citizens. He graduated from Coppell's Allies in Community program in 2020, and is currently working on an interfaith dialog effort within the city. He is a long-time, active member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, has been a strong scouting advocate, starting Pack 820, and is serving in the leadership of Troop 842 at First United Methodist, Coppell. During college Matthew founded Homestack.com with William Grewal and served as the CEO of Homestack Inc. Matthew and William pioneered the white label application market with a software as a service real estate technology company building over 6,000 applications in both Apple and Google app stores. HomeStack now provides software for some of the largest Real Estate companies in the United States. After spending nearly a decade as the CEO of HomeStack, Inc., Matthew now serves as the head of strategic partnerships for Pray.com and has flown all over the world helping Churches and members utilize the Pray.com platform. Matthew also sits on the board of trustees for Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida.
