As the Chief Management Officer of the Department of Defense, Hershman was the highest-ranking woman ever confirmed by the U.S. Senate to a Pentagon position, driving reform to new levels in an institution that has defied all prior efforts to reform itself. Prior to her Pentagon role, Hershman used her extensive Fortune 100 private sector experience in founding and serving as the CEO of The DeNovo Group, a specialized global consulting, training, and research firm focused on leadership, innovation, and business turnarounds.
