Davin is a leader in the public and private sector. After graduating from Cornell University, he joined the Navy as a ship driver onboard the USS Trippe (FF-1075) and then worked at the Pentagon and on Capital Hill, responsible for the Navy's Operations and Maintenance Budget. After getting his MBA from Yale's School of Management, he joined a strategy consulting firm, advising major firms on contracts. Since moving to Texas in 1994, Davin has worked in a variety of roles in technology, mostly in marketing and product development. He left MetroPCS to start his own company, Cierge, LLC, which focuses on revolutionizing customer service in the hospitality industry. His career is built on understanding customer needs and delivering better than expected results. He currently works for USAA, an insurance company that serves the people of the armed services, veterans, and their families. After graduating from Leadership Coppell, Davin served on the Economic Development Committee, and has been a part of Citizen Summits like Coppell 2017 and the Coppell Next/2040 visioning summits. He is well-known to city officials and board members as someone who asks probing questions to deepen citizen understanding of “the story behind the story” and an advocate for citizens. He graduated from Coppell's Allies in Community program in 2020, and is currently working on an interfaith dialog effort within the city. He is a long-time, active member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, has been a strong scouting advocate, starting Pack 820, and is serving in the leadership of Troop 842 at First United Methodist, Coppell. Davin has also served on the boards of several non-profits. He met and married his wife Angela in Coppell. They have been married 21 years and they have 3 children: Chaz, Gemma, and Zelie.
