John Fund is National Affairs Columnist for National Review magazine and a contributor to Fox News He is an often-quoted expert on American politics and the interconnections between politics, economics and legal issues. He previously served as a columnist and editorial board member for The Wall Street Journal. for 27 years. He covered the collapse of Communism while at the Wall Street Journal Europe and has reported from over 20 countries. This effort is designed to identify the mechanism by which new drugs could be bioactivated so as to cause idiosyncratic hypersensitivity-driven drug reactions, an ongoing challenge in drug development. Ron Simmons is the son of two Arkansas public school teachers. He and his wife of 39 years, Lisa, have three adult children and two grandsons. Ron is a distinguished alumnus of Dallas Baptist University and the co-founder and former Chairman of Retirement Advisors of America (RAA) a $2.5 billion wealth management firm. He and Lisa are active members at Prestonwood Church in Plano. From January 2013 to January 2019 Ron served as the State Representative for House District 65 in Denton County. In his three terms in office, Representative Simmons proved to be a leader in policy areas such as transportation, disability rights, first amendment protections and tax reduction. Ron was appointed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott, to serve on the board of Texas Mutual Insurance Company, the largest provider of Workers Compensation Insurance in Texas.
