How It Works
If you are at least 70½ years old, you can direct your IRA trustee to transfer funds directly from your IRA to Point of View. These distributions:
- Count toward your required minimum distribution
- Are not included in your taxable income
- Can be up to $100,000 per year per person

How It Works
When you donate appreciated securities that you have held for more than one year:
- You avoid paying capital gains tax
- You receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value
- Your broker can transfer shares directly to our account
Tax Efficiency Example
If you bought stock for $5,000 that is now worth $10,000 and you sell it, you would pay capital gains tax on the $5,000 profit. But if you donate it to Point of View instead, you get a $10,000 tax deduction and avoid all capital gains taxes!
