Danielle Runyan serves as senior counsel for First Liberty Institute. She joined the First Liberty team in December of 2021 after serving as Senior Trial Counsel in the Commercial Litigation division of the Department of the Air Force for four years. Her continuous commitment to leadership and public service earned her the Department of Defense Spirit of Service Award in May of 2021. Mrs. Runyan continues to proudly serve our nation as a member of the United States Air Force. As a 2000 graduate of The Johns Hopkins University and 2011 inductee in the university’s Athletic Hall of Fame, Mrs. Runyan also serves on the Board of Advisors for the men’s and women’s lacrosse programs. Earning her law degree in 2004 from St. John’s University School of Law, she brings over 17 years of legal experience to First Liberty Institute and presently handles all aspects of litigation on behalf of the firm.

Josh Gilreath serves as the Chief Operating Officer. Josh graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering. While in college, God used the ministry of FCA, coaches and teammates on the football team to disciple him. He served as a graduate assistant football coach at Mississippi State University and Indiana University where he was involved with FCA through team chapels and Coaches Huddles. Josh joined FCA staff in 2002 as the Area Director for Mississippi State University and the Golden Triangle. He was later promoted to Multi-Area Director for Northeast Mississippi. In 2014, Josh began serving as the State Director for Mississippi and remained in that capacity until being named the Regional Vice President of the Carolinas Region in 2017. Then, in 2021, he was named FCA’s Chief Sport Officer and Chief Operating Officer in 2024. Josh was introduced to his wife, Ashlea, by an FCA supporter who set them up on a blind date in 2006. They have been married since 2007 and have two children, Jet (2010) and Eva Cate (2011). Ashlea also serves on FCA staff and enjoys mentoring female athletes and providing administrative support. Jet enjoys all things football and Eva loves horseback riding, art and soccer. The Gilreath family enjoys spending time together by going on walks and hikes, watching movies and sporting events, playing games and taking trips.
