Angela Maden was born the first time in a hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and the second time at a tent revival in Knoxville, Tennessee. By His grace, she’s been chasing Him for over half of her life. His generous reward for her imperfect obedience has been a life blessed serving children and their families across a broad spectrum of needs and abilities. She earned her master’s degree in educational leadership from SMU along with teaching certifications in special needs, gifted education, and ESL. As a classroom teacher, assistant principal, and district administrator, she’s witnessed first-hand the brilliant expressions of the imago dei in all of its amazing forms in the faces of the children, families, and educators she’s had the honor of serving. Now retired from public education but still passionate about obeying God and loving children, the Lord has allowed her the privilege of serving the needs of the innocent unborn and their precious families in her capacity as the vice president of Tennessee Right to Life and Tennessee’s delegate to the National Right to Life Committee in Washington, D.C.

Austin Ruse has headed the Center for Family and Human Rights (C-Fam) since shortly after its creation in the summer of 1997. Mr. Ruse has held the title of President since 2000. He has briefed members of the U.S. House and Senate on U.N. matters, as well as briefing White House and National Security Council staff. Ruse has also briefed senior government officials, journalists, Church and non-governmental leaders from around the world. He has appeared on a number of national cable network programs discussing UN and Catholic issues, including news programs on CNN, CBS News, MSNBC, and Fox News. He is a former foreign affairs commentator for EWTN’s weekly news broadcast The World Over hosted by Raymond Arroyo. In recognition of Ruse’s commitment and leadership in the effort to advance the sanctity of life he was awarded The Henry Hyde Life Leadership Award in 2010 by SpeakOut Illinois. He holds undergraduate degrees in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Missouri, and an Honorary Doctorate from Franciscan University of Steubenville. Mr. Ruse is married to the former Cathleen Cleaver, who is senior legal advisor to the Family Research Council.

As a mental health expert, an anxiety sufferer, and a pastor’s wife, Amanda Porter has been living at the intersection of mental health and faith for many years. She is a writer, speaker, and psychiatric nurse practitioner with triple-board certifications in internal medicine, psychiatry/mental health, and addiction. Amanda practices at the nationally renowned Lindner Center of HOPE in Mason, Ohio. She volunteers as a clinical preceptor and teaches community classes on mental health, faith, and anxiety. Amanda lives outside Cincinnati with her husband, Joe, two kids, a dog named Marley, and a cat, Izzy.
