Van Taylor is a dedicated family man, successful businessman, and decorated Marine Officer. Elected in 2010 to the Texas House, Van immediately distinguished himself as a conservative leader. In 2014, he was elected to the Texas Senate with overwhelming local support and backing of a strong coalition of conservative activists and community leaders. As a Marine Officer and paratrooper, Captain Taylor volunteered for duty as a platoon commander with the Marine Corps’ C Company, 4th Reconnaissance Battalion. He deployed to Iraq where he fought with the 2nd Force Reconnaissance Company. Taylor led the first platoon into Iraq for his brigade and led a mission that rescued 31 wounded Marines during the pitched Battle of An Nasiriyah. For his service in Iraq, the Marine Corps awarded Captain Taylor the Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, and the Navy Commendation Medal with “V” for valor. Throughout his tenure in the Texas Legislature, Van consistently fought to limit the size and reach of government, secure our border, rein in spending, lower taxes, protect the Rainy Day Fund, and stop the expansion of Obamacare in Texas. For his commitment to conservative principles, he has earned the “Taxpayer Champion” award from Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, the “Courageous Conservative” award from Texas Conservative Coalition, and the “Torch of Freedom” award from the Young Conservatives of Texas. Additionally, he was named a “Top-Rated Conservative” by the Texas Eagle Forum, and earned an A rating from the National Rifle Association. In addition to fighting for conservative solutions, Taylor has also made his mark spearheading legislation to protect victims of domestic violence and to safeguard our children from online sexual predators. He has worked to make it easier for our military to vote while serving overseas, verify the citizenship of every voter in the state, close a loophole preventing healthcare fraud and abuse saving local taxpayers millions, curb the prescription opioid epidemic, stop the proliferation of toll roads, and author sweeping ethics reform including revoking benefits from corrupt politicians. Additionally, Taylor’s Truth in Taxation rule, which forces politicians to state clearly in the first line of any bill if there is an attempt to raise taxes or fees, has been cited by Americans for Tax Reform as a successful blueprint for other states to implement. Van and his wife, Anne, married after his return from Iraq and are the proud parents of three young girls. Van and his family reside in Plano near the land his great-grandfather farmed during the Great Depression.

David P. Ingerson is an exciting communicator who has spoken to audiences around the world. During his twenty years as a U.S. Air Force officer and pilot he traveled extensively and lived abroad with his family. From the time he was ordained as a teacher and evangelist while serving in Okinawa, Japan, he has trained and led teams on short-term missions to the Philippines and Cambodia declaring the Good News with compelling, inspirational stories. As a corporate pilot he has traveled to nearly every country on five continents and takes with him great respect and appreciation for the myriad of cultures. Having suffered his own share of trials and setbacks as an entrepreneur, he encourages both employees and customers to rise above life’s difficulties and griefs. Given his track record of overcoming challenges, David has credibility when he exhorts others that the path to success is found and walked with intentionality and hard work rather than glamour and ease. He is genuine and passionate as he encourages his listeners to honestly admit their life’s challenges and disappointments. Through his personal inspirational story of triumph through tragedy, he spurs others to rise above life’s frustrations and overcome in spite of intimidating obstacles—even as dreadful as facing congenital heart defects (CHD) and HIV and grieving the death of a child. David and his wife, Kathleen, are the parents of five children and make their home in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Kathleen Ingerson, grandmother of three, mother of five, bachelor of science nurse, holds audiences spell-bound with her inspirational passion for Christ and His Word. Raised on a dairy farm in Michigan, she drove her father’s tractor, pulling the hay bailer, from age five, while he stacked the square bales. Since she was not strong enough to turn the tractor around at the end of each row, no matter how nervous she became when approaching the end of the hayfield, her father never failed to come forward, over the tractor tongue connecting the trailer to bailer to tractor, arriving just in time to reach over her shoulders and turn the tractor around to start bailing the next row. “My earthly father’s model of faithfulness taught me to trust my Heavenly Father who likewise arrives just in time—to glorfy Himself.” Kathleen has served as nurse on short-term missions teams to the Philippines and routinely hosts worldwide missionaries providing comfortable lodging and delicious meals.Despite innumerable medical challenges Kathleen inspires others with genuine hospitality and grace. She, and husband David, enjoy hosting the Christians in Action Missions International missionaries, as well as their children and grandchildren, making their home in Fresno, California.
