Dr. Sean McDowell is a gifted communicator with a passion for equipping the church, and in particular young people, to make the case for the Christian faith. He connects with audiences in a tangible way through humor and stories while imparting hard evidence and logical support for viewing all areas of life through a Biblical worldview. Sean is an Assistant Professor in the Christian Apologetics program at Biola University. Sean still teaches one high school Bible class, which helps give him exceptional insight into the prevailing culture so he can impart his observations poignantly to fellow educators, pastors, and parents alike. In 2008 he received the Educator of the Year award for San Juan Capistrano, California. The Association of Christian Schools International awarded Exemplary Status to his apologetics training. Sean is listed among the top 100 apologists. He graduated summa cum laude from Talbot Theological Seminary with a double Master’s degree in Theology and Philosophy. He earned a Ph.D. in Apologetics and Worldview Studies from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2014. Traveling throughout the United States and abroad, Sean speaks at camps, churches, schools, universities, and conferences. He has spoken for organizations including Focus on the Family, the Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview, Cru, Youth Specialties, Hume Lake Christian Camps, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Association of Christian Schools International. Sean has also appeared as a guest on radio shows such as Focus on the Family, Point of View, Converse with Scholars, Stand to Reason, Family Life as well as shows hosted by Hugh Hewitt, Michael Reagan, and others. Sean is the author, co-author, or editor of over fifteen books including Same-Sex Marriage: A Thoughtful Approach to God’s Design for Marriage, with John Stonestreet, Is God Just a Human Invention? with Jonathan Morrow, and Understanding Intelligent Design along with William A. Dembski. Sean has also written multiple books with his father, Josh McDowell, including The Unshakable Truth and More Than A Carpenter. Sean is the General Editor for Apologetics for a New Generation and The Apologetics Study Bible for Students. He has also written for YouthWorker Journal, Decision Magazine, and the Christian Research Journal. In April, 2000, Sean married his high school sweetheart, Stephanie. On September 27, 2017 Conservative Republican Candy Noble announced her campaign for State Representative in House District 89, launching her campaign with support from hundreds of citizens and prominent conservative leaders from throughout the district, Collin County, and North Texas. Since that time, she has knocked hundreds of doors to meet voters, hear their concerns, and earn their support. Upon her announcement, Candy said, “I care deeply about our state and nation, and I’m willing to stand up and fight for the future of my kids and grandkids. We must make the hard decisions to ensure that Texas enjoys a prosperous future. I will be guided by my core beliefs of limited government, dedication to fiscal responsibility, and an unshakable commitment to protect the unborn.” She continued, “Texans deserve property tax relief, quality education, limited regulations which ensure a strong economy, a secure border, and protection of our second amendment freedoms and religious liberties. I am excited about the opportunity to serve as a conservative voice for these principles, and honored to have such strong, distinguished support.” Candy Noble is a twenty five year resident of Collin County who has spent decades working to promote conservative solutions for our community. She has spent the last seven years serving the citizens of Senate District 8 on the State Republican Executive Committee, where she serves on the Officials Committee and is Chair of the Resolutions Committee. Locally, she serves as Parliamentarian of the Collin County GOP. During recent legislative sessions she has been a volunteer advocate for conservative legislation including limited spending, religious liberty, and protecting the unborn. Most recently Candy served as the Texas Electoral College Chair, and had the honor of announcing that the Texas Electoral College delivered President Trump the final votes needed for official victory. An active community volunteer, her past service included service on the Collin County CPS Board and on the Collin County Parks and Open Spaces Board. Candy has a degree in Education from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, she serves on the Hardin-Simmons University Board of Development, and had the honor of serving on the University’s recent Presidential search committee. Candy has been married to her husband Robert for 34 years and they live in Lucas. They have three grown daughters, three sons-in-law and five grandchildren, ages six and under. Candy and Robert are active members of Prestonwood Baptist Church.
