He is the author of multiple books and has taught on the philosophy of religion and apologetics at several seminaries. Prior to launching Denison Forum in 2009, he pastored churches in Texas and Georgia. He holds a Ph.D and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In this role, he leads the organization in strengthening and equipping Christians living under or facing restriction, while encouraging them to remain strong in their faith under harrowing circumstances. For nearly 60 years, Open Doors has worked in the world's most oppressive countries, empowering Christians who are persecuted for their beliefs. Open Doors equips persecuted Christians in more than 60 countries by providing Bibles, training, programs to help women and children who have been marginalized because of their beliefs and status in society, and helping to restore communities that have been destroyed because of faith. Curry joined Open Doors in August 2013. He was previously CEO at The Rescue Mission and president at the Foundation for Grace, an organization that provides leadership and management training to nonprofit groups in South America. Curry is the author of four books: First Aid for Enablers, It’s Not How Far You Fall It’s How High You Bounce, God Plays Golf and Change Your World!.
