Casey Luskin is a scientist and an attorney with graduate degrees in science and law, giving him expertise in both the scientific and legal dimensions of the debate over evolution. He holds a PhD in Geology from the University of Johannesburg where he specialized in paleomagnetism and the early plate tectonic history of South Africa. He earned a law degree from the University of San Diego, where he focused on First Amendment law, education law, and environmental law. His B.S. and M.S. degrees in Earth Sciences are from the University of California, San Diego, where he studied evolution extensively at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and conducted geological research at Scripps Institution for Oceanography. Dr. Luskin has been a California-licensed attorney since 2005, practicing primarily in the area of evolution-education in public schools and defending academic freedom for scientists who face discrimination because of their support for intelligent design (ID). In his role at Discovery Institute, Dr. Luskin works as Associate Director of the Center for Science and Culture, where he helps direct the ID 3.0 Research Program, and assists and defends scientists, educators, and students who seek to freely study, research, and teach about the scientific debate over Darwinian evolution and ID.

Deneen was born of Russian/Ukrainian parents and speaks fluent Russian. She began singing professionally at the age of 16. She graduated from Baylor University’s Business school with a double major in Marketing & Management. Deneen was first invited to sing in the Russian Language for Dr. Graham’s International Amsterdam Crusade in 1986. She continued singing for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association for the next 23 years, as well as traveled with Anne Graham Lotz as Worship Leader/Soloist for several Crusades in Eastern Europe. Her ministry in Ukraine began in early 1990. Deneen was the first American artist to release a Contemporary Christian recording during Communism, sponsored and distributed by the Soviet Government. Simultaneously with her music ministry in Ukraine, she focused on orphan care and indigenous adoptions. Deneen and her husband, Mark, adopted their son, Andrew, from Ukraine in 1999. That same year, Deneen and her Ukrainian ministry partner, Yuri Yakovlyev, co-founded a ministry to orphans called HopeHouse International®.

Leah Kay Gabriel is a 1988 graduate of Baylor University and former Miss Texas and finalist in the 1990 Miss America Pageant. She was Vice President of Marketing at the Cooper Aerobics Center from 1990-1998 where she also served as Executive Director of the Cooper Wellness Program. She spent many years as a motivational speaker and performer both on piano and vocals. Additionally, she has hosted various television programs including appearances with George Burns, Bob Hope and Milton Berle. Leah Kay is married to Dr. Brent Gabriel, a periodontist in Grapevine, TX where she does the accounting and marketing of the practice. The Gabriels have two adult children, Garrett and Olivia. Leah Kay currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for HopeHouse International as well as chair of North Texas fundraising events for the ministry.
