William Barclay is a political theorist and private consultant, as well as a Contributor for Young Voices. For over a decade, William has worked together with a diverse array of international political actors, organizations, and community leaders, in order to inform policy and help successfully resolve various unique political challenges throughout Europe and North America. Moreover, William is frequently invited to participate in emergent human rights discourse and provide his insights to the news media and international political forums, such as the UN Human Rights Council, the European Parliament, UC Berkeley, and University of Oxford. Furthermore, William’s work has been published by a wide variety of newspapers, international organizations, and peer-reviewed journals, such as Palgrave Macmillan, the Macdonald-Laurier Institute, The American Spectator, the Journal of Liberty and International Affairs, and The Times of Israel. In addition, William is a Jew, as well as mixed-race, and, therefore, he possesses an intimate understanding of the diversity and intersectionality that are inherent to ‘identity’ and ‘experience’ in society.
