Dr. Ronnie Floyd has been a pastor since he was twenty years old. His experience, wisdom, and passion for God make him a powerful proclaimer of God’s Word and an inspiring leader. Since 1986, Pastor Floyd has served as the Senior Pastor of Cross Church, Northwest Arkansas. He’s also the founder of The Summit, a businesspersons’ luncheon which hosts national guest speakers who share their insights on business, leadership and life principles and values. Dr. Floyd has been a strategic leader in the Southern Baptist Convention for decades, serving throughout the denomination in keeping with his commitment to invest in others to win the world for Christ. In June 2016, he completed a two-year elected term as president of the Southern Baptist Convention. He continues to lead in the advancement of racial unity and championing spiritual awakening in America. In August 2017, Dr. Floyd was named the president of the National Day of Prayer Task Force, which mobilizes millions of Americans to observe the National Day of Prayer. The National Day of Prayer was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. In 1988, President Ronald Reagan signed the amended law designating the first Thursday of May as a day of national prayer. Every year, millions of Americans, in tens of thousands of meetings across all 50 states, come together for unified public prayer for America.
