Paul Louis Metzger (PhD, King’s College London) is Professor of Theology & Culture, Multnomah University & Seminary and Director of The Institute for Cultural Engagement: New Wine, New Wineskins. He is the author and editor of numerous works, including More Than Things: A Personalist Ethics for a Throwaway Culture (IVP Academic, 2023), Setting the Spiritual Clock: Sacred Time Breaking Through the Secular Eclipse (Cascade, 2020), Connecting Christ: How to Discuss Jesus in a World of Diverse Paths (Thomas Nelson, 2012), and Consuming Jesus: Beyond Race and Class Divisions in a Consumer Church (Eerdmans, 2007). Dr. Metzger is a member of the Center of Theological Inquiry, Princeton, New Jersey. He also served for a season as Senior Mission Scholar in Residence at the Overseas Ministries Study Center, New Haven, Connecticut, and as a theological advisor for the Science for Seminaries program of the American Association for the Advancement of Science/Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Religion. He has appeared on many radio shows and podcasts and has been interviewed or featured in such venues as Christianity Today, Cutting Edge Magazine, Leadership Journal (along with Out of Ur), The Oregonian, Portland Monthly, Presbyterian Outlook, Religion and Ethics Newsweekly (PBS), Tricycle: the Buddhist Review, USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, and the Willamette Week.
