Mark Bauerlein is an editor at First Things and professor emeritus of English at Emory University, where he began teaching in 1989. From 2003-05 he was Director of the Office of Research and Analysis at the National Endowment for the Arts. He is the author or editor of ten books, including Negrophobia: A Race Riot in Atlanta, 1906, The Dumbest Generation: How the Digital Age Stupefies Young Americans and Jeopardizes Our Future (Or, Don’t Trust Anyone under 30), and The Dumbest Generation Grows Up: From Stupefied Youth to Dangerous Adults.
