In the wake of The Center for Medical Progress releasing the second Planned Parenthood video exposé, Family Research Council calls for a moratorium on taxpayer funding to Planned Parenthood. The video launched investigations into Planned Parenthood’s operations in seven states as well as at the federal level. Arina Grossu, director at the Center for Human Dignity at Family Research Council and Anika Smith, columnist for The Stream will tell us more about this issue. In the second hour, we hear from author, Ryan Anderson. He tells us more about his soon to be published book, Truth Overruled: The Future of Marriage and Religious Freedom. In this first book to dissect the Court’s ruling, Anderson unveils what the Court said, how they got it wrong, and the alarming threat Americans face in the wake of the landmark ruling. “It’s not over,” says Anderson. “The Supreme Court’s ruling is not just going to impact marriage and democratic self-government, but also civil society, religious freedom, education, our children and grandchildren.”

Anika Smith is an associate editor at The Stream. She grew up in a small logging community on the West Coast, where she took part in her first political protest, against the spotted owl (“families first, owls last”), at age 5. She moved to Seattle for college and spent a decade falling in love with the greatest city ever, even if its denizens did call her a Stepford Wife Republican™ after she wrote a column in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer supporting Sarah Palin’s VP nomination. She has been leading worship for fifteen years and occasionally talks her friends into performing with her at parties. She wanted to go to heaven for her sixth birthday because her dad told her that she could sing with Roy Orbison when she got there. Before working at The Stream, Anika was as an editor the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, a project director at the National Association of Evangelicals, and a policy analyst at the Discovery Institute.
