Eric P. Nichols has been a technical writer and radio engineer for over thirty-five years. He was Chief Engineer of KJNP Radio in North Pole, Alaska for nearly twenty years. Afterwards, he became a Development Engineer for the UCLA Plasma Physics department, developing instrumentation for ionospheric and Aurora research at HIPAS Observatory and HAARP (High Altitude Aurora Research Project). His first novel, Plasma Dreams, was based on his experiences in the UCLA Plasma lab and HIPAS Observatory. Eric has published over 150 articles in Amateur Radio and commercial communications and electronics magazines, and is recipient of the William Orr W6SAI Technical Writing Award for the best QST article of 2010, an iconoclastic treatise on ionospheric radio propagation. The Spirit of the Craftsman, Eric’s manifesto of work, is based on the premise that Adam had a job before the Fall, and that Christians will have a job when they get to Heaven. Life on Earth is merely a dry run for our eternal careers.
