VIEW SHOW

Monday, February 2, 2015
On the show today, Point of View welcomes Dr. Scott Turansky who is the co-founder of the National Center for Biblical Parenting. He tells us more about his book, Motivate Your Child. Did you know that today less than1% of Japan is Christian. However, few know that Japan has a rich Christian history. The first western Christian missionary, Francis Xavier arrived in Kagoshima in 1549 and the Japanese embraced the gospel message. It is estimated that nearly 300,000 Japanese became Christians. However, forty years later the Shogun outlawed Christianity and conducted the fiercest Christian persecution. Thousands of Japanese Christians throughout the country gave their lives for Christ. Pat Zukeran and a group of thirty toured the southern area of Japan. The next year they toured the northern areas of Sendai, Nikko, and Tokyo. In the second hour of the show, Pat Zukeran joins us to share the stirring stories of courage and dedication of the Christian martyrs, he will also talk about the seldom discussed issue of the marks of an abusive church.
