Jeff Mateer, Esq., is General Counsel for Liberty Institute. Mr. Mateer joined Liberty Institute in 2010, after 19 years in private litigation practice. He now oversees and directs Liberty Institute’s legal team. He specializes in religious liberty matters, including free exercise, free speech, RLUIPA and public acknowledgment of religion cases. Mr. Mateer has represented clients ranging from large international organizations to local businesses, schools, ministries, churches and individuals in complex federal and state court actions involving religious liberty, civil rights, employment, intellectual property and business matters. In private practice, his clients included the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Citigroup, CNA, ConAgra Foods, former officers and directors of EDS, Ford Motor Company, Pilgrim’s Pride and PNC Bank. He has tried numerous jury and bench trials in both federal and state courts, and has successfully argued before the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and Texas appellate courts. In addition to having received an A-V rating by Martindale-Hubbell, Mr. Mateer has been honored as a Texas Rising Star and Texas Super Lawyer. He received his undergraduate education at Dickinson College, where he graduated with honors in 1987, and his legal education at Southern Methodist University, where he graduated with honors in 1990. While in law school, he served as an editor of the law review. He is licensed to practice law by the state of Texas and is admitted to practice before all Texas State and Federal District Courts and the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Mateer is a sought after speaker and guest on national and local television and radio, including ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, CNN, CBN, and Fox News, on religious liberty topics.

Merrill Matthews, Ph.D., is a resident scholar with the Institute for Policy Innovation, a research-based, public policy “think tank.” He is a health policy expert and weekly contributor at Forbes.com. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Texas Advisory Committee of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. Dr. Matthews is a past president of the Health Economics Roundtable for the National Association for Business Economics, the largest trade association of business economists. Dr. Matthews also served for 10 years as the medical ethicist for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center’s Institutional Review Board for Human Experimentation, and has contributed chapters to several books, including Physician Assisted Suicide: Expanding the Debate and The 21st Century Health Care Leader and, in 2009, Stop Paying the Crooks (on Medicare fraud). Collin G. Lambert is the founder and president of Lambert Creative Media. Collin is also the host and producer of Missions Today, a 26-minute weekly program focused on mission - getting involved in God's work and movement wherever it occurs. Each week he unveils stories of missions from the neighborhood front porch to the front lines of mission activity around the world - individual, organizational, entrepreneurial, inspirational. Collin recently served as Vice President of Moody Radio, the media arm of the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Moody Radio owns/operates 37 stations (English and Spanish) covering 15 states, and Canada, a Christian broadcast network, plus numerous online only stations. Collin served with Moody for over 15 years, serving as Vice President for the last 7 1/2 years. In his role at Moody, he also planned, executed and instructed numerous international media training events in Africa and Eastern Europe. Collin has worked in many areas of management, hosted various programs at country, talk, Christian and jazz stations, has directed television broadcasts, worked in the local church, planned major events and hosted hundreds of hours of on-air fundraising. He has also spent time operating a restaurant franchise in his hometown. In addition to his duties with Lambert Creative Media, Collin currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Religious Broadcasters, as the Director of Radio Products for Resource Global, Host and producer of Missions Today , Host of various video podcasts at Lambert Creative Media's YouTube Channel, and afternoon announcer on The Bridge Austin (AM1120/101.1FM) . Collin and his wife, Patti, have three grown children, and live in their hometown of Austin, Texas.
