He graduated with honors from the University of Massachusetts in 1975 and from Harvard Law School in 1978. He practiced law for 15 years. He is Bishop of The Called Church and founder of STAND Foundation - Staying True to America's National Destiny (Standamerica.us). He has authored two books: Ten Commandments to an Extraordinary Life and 12 Principles to Make Your Life Extraordinary. Bishop Jackson hosts the National Awakening Conference Call weekly and is a daily talk show host on American Family Radio. He has been a guest on FNC, One America News and other media and written articles for American Thinker, The Washington Times, Western Journal and other publications. His focus is on expanding public awareness of First Liberty’s mission, legal matters, and educational projects by coordinating communication with community leaders, influencers, policy makers, and the public at large. Prior to joining First Liberty Institute, Watts served in various campaign and official staff positions for U.S. Congressman Jeb Hensarling, U.S. Senator John Cornyn, and Texas Governor Rick Perry. His executive leadership roles in non-profit organizations specializing in political affairs and community outreach contributed to the election of numerous members of the U.S. Congress, multiple state legislators, and governors. His work in and around the political process served him well in the four years he spent as a City Councilman in Lewisville, TX. Penna’s heart is in educating and encouraging Christians to influence the culture and politics. She worked as a consultant overseeing the launch and production of the Family Research Council’s nationally syndicated radio program, Washington Watch Weekly. For eight years she served as Marlin Maddoux’s co-host on Point of View and for two years she co-hosted a daily drive time live broadcast on the Dallas-based Criswell Radio Network. Penna served a term on the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention. She served for three years as a Texas Area Director for Concerned Women for America and for ten years on the Executive Advisory Board for Golden Corridor Republican Women’s Club in Dallas, Texas. Penna’s interest in conservative politics and the issues that affect the family began when she was a child working on political campaigns with her parents. She graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in International Relations. She spent 8 years in the banking industry. She and her husband Todd have three children and nine grandchildren. They attend Christ Church in Plano, Texas. Penna serves on the church’s vestry.
