On December 18, 2025, The Department of Justice (DOJ) issued new guidance that doctors within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will no longer require VA employees to offer abortion services to veterans. This decision reverses previous guidance under the Biden administration which required abortions to be funded with taxpayer dollars for any reason and at any stage of pregnancy.
