Why Register Christian Voters? The percentage of mid-term voters identified as “Protestant” declined from 55% in 2010, to 53% in 2014, to 47% in 2018. This trend is reversible if churches accept the challenge to register Christian Voters. In the 2018 mid-term elections, only 26% of voters identified as evangelical, and only 35% identified as conservative Christian. We can grow the participation of Christian voters if we embrace the importance of expressing our faith and values at the polls. Why the Jonathan Project? Since its beginnings in 2016, the Jonathan Project has been a friend to pastors and churches encouraging Christian voters to express their faith and values. We provide free small group materials and sermon starters, and train churches and volunteers to register voters and get them to the polls. The Jonathan Project is a non-partisan 501(c)3 organization. We do not promote any party or candidate. We do not request membership lists or distribute voter guides. We are here to serve.
