Jim Schmidt, also known as Armadillo Jim has been a businessman and children’s minister throughout most of his adult life. He began his career in promotions with the Houston Oilers NFL football team. He then began promoting his home state of Texas, with his favorite mascot, armadillos. Armadillo Jim formed the Put On Your Armor Foundation and has been in more than 1000 public schools with his Armadillo Rangers and pet armadillos. Jim is in the oil and gas business and leads a movement called Faith in the Workplace along with the Oilfield Christian Fellowship. Jim and his family authored the I Cried Too™ grief recovery book for children later chosen by the Pentagon after 9/11 ; Jim co founded Cookies for Soldiers™ His greatest love (along with his wife Sheila and his own children) is reaching young people for Jesus in schools. Jim lives in Tulsa Oklahoma.
