David Fowler

President — The Family Action Council of Tennessee

Mr. Fowler is President of The Family Action Council of Tennessee, a position he has held since its formation in 2006. He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and, in 1983, from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. Following a clerkship with the Ohio Court of Appeals, he practiced law and served in the Tennessee State Senate from 1994 to 2006. As a Senator, Mr. Fowler authored the first ever amendment to a state constitution to prohibit abortion as a state constitutional right, which was ratified in 2014. He is the author of The Politics of Loving God and Recovering the Constitution-Using the Ninth Amendment to Recover Civil Liberty.
