Susan Allen served the Commonwealth of Virginia alongside her husband, George Allen, during his tenures as Delegate to the Virginia General Assembly, Member of Congress (House and Senate) and as First Lady of Virginia. She promoted Virginia as a tourism destination and worked on women’s health and wellness issues, including breast cancer awareness and fitness. She chaired Women for McCain in Va and hosted a weekly radio show on WDBT in 2008. As a founding member of the Jennifer Byler Institute, Susan helped train and lead women in conservative politics at all levels. Susan served on many charitable boards and just completed a 3 yr term as Chairman of the Virginia Capitol Foundation leaving a legacy project of women’s statues and Indian tribute on the Capitol grounds in Richmond, Va. She is an author of a bestselling children’s book, The Remarkable Ronald Reagan and is an often requested speaker. Susan and George are the proud parents of son, Forrest (wife, Katie) and daughters, Tyler (husband, Harry) and Brooke. They now reside in Virginia Beach, VA.
