Hopkins has served with FCA for more than 14 years, and previously worked as FCA’s Greater Houston Multi-Area Director. He's also established 10 local area offices and hired 14 field staff to serve the Greater Houston area for the cause. Hopkins was a standout football player at Southwest Baptist University, and was a two-time All-American. He was inducted into the SBU Sports Hall of Fame in 2000. After graduating, Hopkins played two seasons with the Winnipeg Bluebombers in the Canadian Football League and spent two years trying to break in with the NFL’s Houston Oilers and New England Patriots. He currently runs competitively and competes in Masters Track. Hopkins and his wife, Julie, reside in The Woodlands, Texas, with their three daughters.
